Vladi Vargas

Vladi Vargas is a music producer of Hip Hop, Reggae, and R'n'B. He is also a sought after sound engineer for mixing Hip Hop/Rap, Reggae, and other rhythm strong music.

Vladi Vargas started out as a DJ and he still has the beat energy floating in his blood when working in the music recording studio. With Hip Hop close to heart, he has mixed and mastered several albums and 12" singles of Looptroop and Promoe, who have hundreds of gigs across the globe adding to their notoriety as European Hip Hop artists. "Send Someone Away" by Embee featuring the European Border Breaker award winner José Gonsález, is one of the songs on the "Tellings from Sollitaria" albums, mixed by Vargas, which earned Embee a Swedish Grammy.

Having worked with tracks for Jamaica's who-is-who of contemporary Reggae music, Vladi Vargas has a genuine experience of Dancehall. "Mi Chalwa" with Jah Mason, mixed by Vargas, was picked for Greensleves' annual compilation described as "the ultimate chart hit selection of the best roots reggae songs of top hits from Jamaica's finest". Another Vladi Vargas mixing is Junior Kelly's "Rasta Should be Deeper" (VP/Hi-Score Music), voted as one of the top 10 best songs of all categories 2005 by Swedish National Radio P3's music staff. Other artists' tracks he worked on includes those of the US Grammy Award winner Lady Saw and Gentleman, the number one holder on the German album chart in 2004.

Vladi Vargas' versatility in music sound is evident in "Zara Nazron Se Kehdo", which he produced and mixed. The song hit the charts in India with the group Bombay Vikings. Another sound is found in pop charmer Måns Zelmerlöw, who received a Gold Record for his album that included "The Prayer (A Boy I Used to Know)", mixed by Vladi Vargas together with Mats Nyman.

As a sound engineer, Vladi Vargas is a sparring partner to riddim/beat makers and music producers such as Chilly, Embee, DJ Large, and Jimmy Ledrac.
