Frequently Asked Questions: Read Before Contacting Soundism

To prevent misunderstandings and to save yourself time, please read these questions and answers before contacting Soundism [contact details].

Sorry for all the "no, its not possible".

We are artists with a record project, can you do the music production?

Yes, ask your artist management or record company to contact us.

Can you record our demo?

Our focus is on fully professional music productions only, we do not record artist's demos.

Consider to record the demo yourself or hire a low budget studio instead. Record companies usually recognize talented artists and good songs, even if the demo recording is less elaborate.

I am a DJ, can you send a vinyl record?

Thank you for liking our productions. We are music production company, you should contact your DJ promotion pool or the record company instead. Your DJ agency might also help you.

Can I get a record contract?

Soundism is not a record company and we do not sign record contracts with artists.

Which record company and music publisher is the best one?

There are too many factors to consider when choosing who to work with. Soundism does not suggest any particular one.

Can I send my demo?

No, we are writing songs and cannot listen to what you have composed because of copyright reasons. If you send us songs anyway, because we have to, we always destroy the CD or permanently delete the email etc without listening. This applies to music as well as song lyrics.

Can someone at Soundism listen to my song on MySpace?

We cannot review or suggest how to improve your songs. Music is what we do because we love music, of course we listen when we have time. But, do not wait for feedback.

Can you send my songs to your artists?

No, if you would like the artists to hear your songs, contact them or their representatives instead. You can usually find their names in the CD text folder. BTW: They are not "our artists", we work together without owning each other.

Music publishers typically present songs to record companies and artists, therefore you might want to get a music publishing deal.

Can I use one of your songs?

If you want to re-record or use music or lyrics Soundism has recorded, mixed, produced, performed, arranged, or written contact the music publishing company and record company. You find the information in the CD inlay.

Can you send me the contact info for the artist?

No, we do not forward private contact information.

Can I get a job at Soundism?

We are not hiring any staff. If we will, it is likely that we will rely mostly on references and introductions from people we already know.

Can I do an internship at Soundism?

After a couple of decades of working with music, we understand the value of experience. Unfortunately, due to the way we work it is not possible for us to offer an internship or have trainees. Should there be any change, we will post any such opportunity on our web site.

Can I visit your studio?

General visiting of our studio is not possible, it would be too interruptive and disturbing to the artists and others.

Can I link to your site?

Yes. Please only link to the home page (the address of the other web pages changes):

http://www.soundism.com/

Can you help us with a Visa?

No, we do not sponsor Visas to enter Sweden or the Schengen area. For artists that we do work with, the artist management or record company takes care of this prior to hiring us.
